ChandraMa was born and raised in Augusta, Maine. In 1978, she married a career US Navy man. His Naval career afforded her the opportunity to travel and live in many areas. These experiences enriched her life, allowed her to come in contact with other cultures and brought her many new friends.

At the end of her husband's Naval career, they returned to Augusta, Maine which is now their home. The house is nestled among the pines and creates a wonderful atmosphere for healing and learning.

She and her husband live there with Sasha (a Siberian Husky). They are the parents of two grown children and have a beautiful grandchild.
