Winter to Spring 2010

2010 is here!! This year’s energy vibration is one about creativity, reinventing and bringing in the new. Shakti Om Spiritual Center is embracing these vibrations by offering some renewed and reinvented subjects and classes along with brand new and exciting topics and classes.

What you can look for from Shakti Om Spiritual Center during the upcoming year is workshops on learning how to read your own Akashic Records; the spiritual aspects of the classic tale of the Wizard of Oz and how it relates to your life; hands on energy healing; shamanic practices such as journeying, tracking and divination; tarot classes; meditation and sound; learning to work with divination tools i.e. pendulum, talking boards (Ouija board), runes etc.; table tipping; channeling with the Crystal Skull YaMaWey and much more.

The Wednesday Drumming Circle continues to meet regularly. Of course, everyone is welcome to come to all Wednesday Circles. If there is a set fee involved for an event, it will be listed on the website, otherwise it is a $10 donation. Please check the website regularly for information on classes and events.

Mentorship Program

• Tuesday, February 2, 2010: The first meeting of the new Mentorship Program.

  Beginning February 2nd, I am introducing a new mentorship program. The program will meet Tuesday evenings from 6pm until 8:30pm. Each topic will run for a specified number of weeks, followed by a break, and then we will move into the next topic. The program will cover the following topics:

  • Chakra System, healing, balancing, etc.
  • Spirit Communication
  • Mediumship
  • Channeling
  • Crystal Skulls
  • 2012
  • Energy Healing practices
  • Shamanic practices
  • Other topics as the need arises

  The program is limited to 8 committed participants. The cost for each meeting of the Tuesday evening classes is $25 per person. Please contact ChandraMa directly for more specific information and to register.

Beginning Shamanic Journeying class

• Sunday, March 7, 2010: Beginning Shamanic Journeying class.

  This Beginning Shamanic Journeying class is an intensive one-day course (normally administered over several class meetings).

  Join ChandraMa to learn basic Shamanic Journeying. Participants will learn to journey to the Lower World, the Upper World and Middle World. Students will also learn how to retrieve a power animal for another person. This class is designed to teach basic Shamanic practices so that what is learned can be used to further one’s spiritual development while living in today’s world.

Wednesday Drumming Circle

The Wednesday Drumming Circle that meets regularly has had a format change. Instead of a general spiritual focus, there will be a featured topic or event, with a fee based on the content. Event details are always listed on the website so you can plan to attend those that interest you. Of course, everyone is welcome to come to all Wednesday Circles.

Upcoming events for Wednesday evenings:

• January 27, 2010: Breath and Sound - We will work with breathing exercises and sounding/toning.

• February 3, 2010: Rose Morris channels Istiphul, The Lady of the Lake - Rose Morris, of Crystal Rose Healing Arts full-body channels Istiphul, who is an elemental being that helps with love issues and with healing, Everyone attending will receive a message and will have the opportunity to ask at least one question and depending upon time, possibly two.

• February 10, 2010: Mandalas - Participants will make their own Mandala and we will meditate/journey with them.

• February 17, 2010: Channeling Messages from YaMaWey - Come see the contemporary crystal skull YaMaWey and receive channeling messages. Everyone gets a message!

• February 24, 2010: Hands-on Energy Healing - We will learn about and work with hands-on energy healing.

• March 3, 2010: Crystal Singing Bowls - Brenda Colfer of Soundings will bring her Crystal Singing Bowls and lead us in a journey through the Chakras with the sound of the 7 crystal singing bowls. We end the evening sharing our voices as we tone the chakras together.

• March 10, 2010: Table Tipping - Table Tipping was first discovered and used by Spiritualists to contact deceased loved ones. It is physical phenomena of “Spirit” entering an object i.e. a table, and making it move to answer yes or no questions. Today, table tipping is generally conducted by a Medium to not only contact deceased loved ones but to touch base with Spirit Guides, Angels, and other entities to receive answers to questions and/or messages of guidance and direction.

• March 17, 2010: Meditation & Journey Night - We will learn about meditation and journeying. Experience is not necessary.

• March 24, 2010: Tarot Play Night - No experience necessary. We will be doing various Tarot Card Spreads and learning how to read them. It is a fun night and everyone will get a reading.

• March 31, 2010: 2012 - The Mayan Prophecies - What will happen? Learn about the 2012 Mayan prophecies.
